Bio: Patti Petesch, a consultant, is part of a small team that mobilized qualitative assessments in 20 countries for the World Development Report 2012 on Gender Equality and Development. She recently completed a four-country study for USAID on "Women's Empowerment arising from Violent Conflict and Recovery," and previously coordinated and co-authored the World Bank's Voices of the Poor and Moving Out of Poverty cross-country studies.
