Bio: Lili Mottaghi is an Economist in the Chief Economist Office for the Middle East and North Africa Region of the World Bank. She works on economic growth, international trade and economic policy issues in developing and transition economies. Prior to this, she worked in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Department of the World Bank. Before joining the Bank, she worked at the Management and Planning Organization in Iran where she held senior positions in the areas of growth and macroeconomic modeling. Her research work and publications cover macroeconomics, economic growth, and trade policy. She holds Master and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from Claremont Graduate University and Tehran University.
